Festive Charity Treat For Charity Home Rumah Titian Kasih
To celebrate the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan, the Management & Staff of The Federal Kuala Lumpur from General Manager’s Office to Rooms Department, F&B, Chefs, Marketing Communications, to Housekeeping and Sales Department together with the Team from Federal Hotels International have put up their hands together to spread the festive cheers to the Charity Home namely Rumah Titian Kaseh at the Kontiki Restaurant of The Federal Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 15 June 2016. In this joyous occasion, the local celebrities, 6ixth Sense band together with the Sakura Band and the local Singer, Ronnie Hussein joined our team to spread the cheers. To hive up the atmosphere, Sakura band and Ronnie showcased their performance.
Over 40 children were treated to the exquisite sumptuous buffet spread of Sajian Kampung buffet dinner. Over 100 traditional dishes to choose from, featuring a mammoth spread of authentic Kampung delicacies and traditional delights complemented with favourite local flavours at the Kontiki Restaurant. Start off the menu with appertizers that include gado gado, rojak buah, ulam-ulam Kampung, Kerabu Mangga, Kerabu daging just to name a few. The BBQ cylinder station will include items such as hard shell prawn, tiger prawn, mussel, Pari (stingray) fish, chicken drumstick, Beef & chicken satay, otak-otak, lamb & chicken with Lebanese bread, murtabak with kari ayam amongst other on the list offered. Soup corner includes cream of mushroom, bubur lambuk, seafood chowder plus many more. The scrumptious buffet offers varieties of local and continental savouries to stir your palate. The list includes sushi & sashimi; fresh oyster; satay with condiments; roasted & steamed chicken; Buffet carving stations include roasted whole lamb rack, roast prime rib (beef); roasted chicken; roast whole salmon fish; served with sauce of mint, mushroom, black pepper, rosemary, cream white herbs and BBQ. Our chefs have prepared the main dishes to cater to different taste buds such as pucuk manis lemak keledek, Roasted duck with quick orange sauce, grilled lamb cutlet on ratatouille, braised beancurd with seafood, paru goring berempah; dalca kambing; Sambal Kapitan Chicken and potatoes, sambal tumis udang dengan petai, fried fish dumpling with beancurd, baked pumpkin with provencal herb to name a few; and the Favourite dishes from Tunku’s Kitchen namely ketam masak sos tomato, ayam masak kuning, pajeri terung, daging pedas, ikan merah asam pedas, sambl sotong, daging masak cili, Ketam masak kuning daun kunyit and many more. . For those with a sweet tooth, check out our signature yummy dessert such as dodol kampong, wajid kampong, bubur buah (pisang atau keladi atau ubi kau); bread & butter pudding; cheese cake; mixed nyonya kuih, to name a few.
Amongst the buffet spread, the highlights includes the Favourite Dishes from the Tunku’s Kitchen or Hidangan Kegemaran Dari Dapur Tunku, most importantly, this legacy cookbook is our Federal Hotels International and The Federal Kuala Lumpur’s tribute dedicated to our Malaysia’s beloved first Prime Minister or our Father of Independence, Y.T.M. Tunku Abdul Rahman. Other equally delectable dishes are roast lamb with bukhari rice, roast beef with black pepper sauce, fried chicken wing including mouth-watering local desserts! In this joyous occasion, the hotel management team from The Federal Kuala Lumpur will present Raya Hampers to the home and distribute raya packets to the children of Rumah Jagaan Titian Kasih.

The Federal KL, the hotel for Merdeka was officially opened by our beloved Bapa Malaysia, our first Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late Y.T.M. Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.
