This morning’s event, besides “BERSIH” Bukit Bintang and its vicinity, the Bukit Bintang Central Environmental Committee also wishes all of you to live “SIHAT”. This is Bukit Bintang central environmental committee’s on going awareness campaign with a mixture of live clean, good health, good waste management practices and something new on our program this morning, Jom Senam.
We are really grateful to all our LA21 partners in making this twice yearly events going into the 17th year. All of you deserved a big applause for making this possible and sustainable.
Today, beside cleaning we have with us a few of our LA21 partners who excels in their respective fields of wellbeing coming forward to impart their knowledge, educating school children on waste management such as reduce, reuse and recycles of resources, proper waste segregation and also the topic of health, personal hygiene and how to live healthy.
After the cleaning up we will be back here right in front of this stage to learn a thing or two on how to strengthen our muscles with the right exercise techniques. I hope this will help to trim off the excess baggage or fats, many of us are carrying daily. Exercise not just today, like any good practises, it has to be consistent (at least 3 times a week) to achieve results.
Something new this morning, which require participants to put in effort for the next 6 months. “Trim The Excess” challenge. The competition is simple, register your name and IC number and have your body weight taken this morning and you will be given few months to lose some weight, till the next gotong royong. We will weigh you again in the next gotong royong (some where in October or November), then we will compare the difference in weight lost between now and then, and our top 3 weight losers will stand a chance to win cash prizes of, 1st RM500, 2nd RM400 and 3rd RM300. This is an open event with no age limit. Join in the fun, reduce fats, built more muscles and better health.
Also please do not miss out the opportunity to visit the exhibition booths put up by our award winning partners on waste management and how to live healthy, on the right and left hand side of this stage. Learn more and tap on their expertise and share your experience with them and reciprocal.
We wish to thank our partners for their continuous support of venue, equipment, logistic, breakfasts, door gifts and lucky draw prizes for this morning’s event.
